Chris Keefer

Formerly of La Jolla Independent BMW Service, Chris has been a leading technician in the San Diego BMW community for the last 13 years. His main focus of work has been on maintaining vehicles to the highest of levels in order to promote reliability and avoid costly breakdowns. He has a vast knowledge of BMWs, ranging from the late 1960s to present-day cars.

Chris has also completed several featured restorations of 3.0cs/csi and 2002/2002tii model BMWs. His blog documenting the trials and tribulations of a BMW technician has gained national attention and has been published in several magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times, The Roundel, Straight Six Magazine as well as Hemmings Motor News.

Chris and his wife are residents of the Clairemont neighborhood of Bay Ho. She is a competitive Amateur Equestrian rider and Chris is a tennis fanatic who has been volunteering for the last 3 years as President of the University City Racquet Club on Governor Drive.

Chris started Independent Motorcars in order to continue to deliver a high level of service to his customers and expand those services to the other makes and models his customers have in their garage.
