Chris has been a leading technician in the San Diego BMW community for the last 20 years. His main focus of work has been on maintaining vehicles to the highest of levels in order to promote reliability and avoid costly breakdowns. He has a strong passion for BMW and Porsche cars having driven both competitively over the years.  

Chris is the current at-track technical chair for the San Diego Chapter of the Porsche Club of America as well as a driving instructor for both the PCA and the BMW Car Club of America.  His blog from the early 2000s that documented the trials and tribulations of a BMW technician gained national attention and had been published in several magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times, The Roundel, Straight Six Magazine as well as Hemmings Motor News.

Chris started Independent Motorcars in order to continue to deliver a high level of service to his customers and expand those services to the other makes and models his customers have in their garage. Chris and his wife are residents of the Clairemont neighborhood of Bay Ho.
